Dinosaurs: The American Museum of Natural History Collections App Reviews

First of all Id like to say this app crashes like thats what it was built to do! Second its stupid that its always in a collage view so u can never find anything and it does nothing but show pictures that ultimatlly show a trex skull.

I love this app but I wouldve given it 5 stars if it had an option to pronounce the dinosaur name or the scientific name. My 6 yr old loves dinosaurs but sometimes mispronounces the names. That option would be great for him.

Excellent, my son and I love this app.

Please make more apps like this. I would rather have these on my 8 year olds iPad than any shootin at things or crashing virtual avatars game... the kids LOVE it and spend forever looking thru the pictures. Well done!

This app is wonderful and educational. I love dinosaurs and browsing the pictures and their captions of this app. However, it crashes at some point every time I use it. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Add more information and perhaps favorites! Also, please enhance for iPhone 5!

Im a Homeschooling Mom to my amazing Autistic Son and we love all the Museums of Natural History with in a 200 mile radius. Glad we are only a few hours from Washington DC ;)

With an iPhone 6+ all it does is start & stay on the starting screen.

That should tell you enough. Obviously doesnt work now. Dont bother with this. Used to be a great app. Had it on my iPod 2. Apple really should go through and clean out the App Store.

This app gives great visuals and really does help you learn about dinosaurs.

The world of dinosaurs by Appersian still is the best app about dinosaurs on the app store , there are lots of amazing illustrations and much more good informations. I dont know why App store editors dont care about small companies and their apps ?!!! They are always promote big organization and companies apps ! This app is not bad but typically you can see bones with some texts.

I do like this app but I feel like it lacks a bit in the amount of information given and the amount of dinosaurs shown. Maybe if this got an update that includes more types of dinosaurs I would give it 5 stars. Besides this, its a very fun and innovative idea and I hope it develops more.

Awesome app, I love the (mostly) accurate depictions and actual fossil pictures, really great reference. (Pretty much all theropods had feathers, even T. rex, so do your research before you trust all the restorations) other than that, its wonderful!

Adequate except for shallow information and some inaccuracies (T-Rex lived during the Cretaceous)

Their needs to be more dinosaurs but keep up the good work

Version 2 is ok, but I preferred version 1 as all the data was on my iPod/iPhone. It also lent a feeling of delving deeper into a subject, as one zoomed into the mosaic - vs clicking on a circle. And, when you live in a rural area, the interweb is not always available.

No information about species provided besides a blurb (as short as a few words), then some hand-drawn images and photos from museum exhibits. How about lineage? Lifespan? Time period? Natural predators or food? Also a disturbing lack overall of species to read about - with some exceptions, if you havent seen it in a movie its not there. Disappointed.

Love the concept of this app. Theres so much to learn about dinosaurs. And it runs very well on my iPhone. Absolutely love it.
